M7 Group, based in Luxembourg, owns and operates DTH pay-TV services across Europe serving appr 2,5 million customers in 8 different countries using 9 different brands. The Satellite pay TV offers have been augmented with an OTT strategy allowing M7 to offer customers a broader content experience by adding on-demand and multiscreen services on various consumer devices like tablets, smartphones and smart TV’s. M7 is part of Canal+ Group. The Data Analyst holds a critical position in this landscape, collecting and analyzing data and visualizing the commercial performance in our different territories.
You will be the reference person within M7 Group when it comes to data governance, management, collection and analysis. Leading the design, development, and management of our analytical tools and reporting, you will provide thought leadership and business analysis support as needed. You oversee all business-critical reporting and make sure all KPI’s are reported in a consistent way. You supervise how the Data Warehouse and all of its underlying databases are connected and you work closely together with all country managers and with our IT business partner that provides supporting services. Aligning with Canal+ to unify and further automating our KPI reporting and analysis is key in this position.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong business acumen, experience in developing reporting and analytical infrastructures, strong communication skills, an ability to work effectively with cross functional teams, and an ability to work in a fast paced and ever-changing environment.
The position reports to the Vice President Finance and is based in Luxembourg.
• Define and manage a long-term vision and portfolio of M7 Business Intelligence Products to improve the customer experience and business results enabling data-driven automated solutions and business insights.
• Perform Analysis of business requirements and translation into data & reporting requirements. Design and maintain scalable and automated reports, dashboards, etc. that will support our analytical and business needs. • Leading the design, development, and management of our analytical tools and reporting. • Define a data governance strategy for M7 in alignment with the Canal + guidelines. • Align and co-operate with Canal+ to standardize and harmonize all the reports and the KPI definitions as well as set guidelines for the data governance within the Group. • Prepare presentations and advice to C- level stakeholders on actionable data insights, data & analytics strategy, reporting or data governance. • Collect commercial performance data of the different brands and support sales, marketing and customer relations teams in their actions on subscriber loyalty and value. • Report and analyse the financial performance of all business units and make operational or strategic business recommendations. • Report on the usage and viewership of our sVOD and other OTT content to improve the usage of our products and optimize our content investments. • Develop customer segmentations & scorings based on available subscriber data (CRM, financial, usage) to better detect populations at risk or appealing to certain offers.• Education in statistics / datamining / data science / big data.
• Experience with statistical modelling software, programming and data visualization (SAS, R, Python, Power BI, Tableau, etc.) and good knowledge of database management (SQL, data modelling). • Familiar with modern data warehousing techniques (dimensional data modelling, experience with ETL, etc.) • More than 5 years of experience in a comparable job • Fluent in English • Capability to understand the business needs, priorities and translate them into consistent and sustainable data models, in coordination with IT partners. • Very good communications skills, comfortable to build excellent relationships within the Group with all stakeholders as well as able to prepare and expose recommendations to management. • Self-propelling, you enjoy taking initiatives. • Team player and able to work autonomously • Good organizational skills and ability to manage projects in parallel • Enjoy evolving in a highly multicultural environmentPlease send your CV and cover letter to: [email protected]
